Jane Drysdale creates hand crafted kiln formed glass artworks in her garden studio on the outskirts of Crieff, producing a range of pieces which can be functional or purely decorative.
Creating under the name Barkley Glass (there is always a canine studio companion) Jane is self taught and began her glass journey in 2002 starting with stained glass. A desire to heat it up lead to her move to glass fusing. Jane’s continued love, fascination and respect for glass fuels her desire to push the boundaries, develop new skills and be experimental in her practice.
Recent explorations using high quality Bullseye glass powders and sheet glass and the potential of differing firing temperatures are inspired by the colours and textures in the world around us.
