Adam Stone was born and raised in Perthshire where he started woodworking with his grandad. An early passion for woodturning grew into a desire to create beautiful and useful objects. He attended the Chippendale International School of Furniture in Gifford, studying woodworking, speciality joinery, and furniture making. He then taught at the furniture school for four years before returning home to Perthshire to open Adam Stone Furniture near Kettins, where he designs and makes bespoke hardwood furniture on a commission basis and teaches woodworking courses.

I have my own range of sustainable clothing including tunics and kimono jackets in linen and lightweight denims. From my original artwork I create screen-printed textile art which I make into prints for scarves and accessories. Browse my range of original designs and have something made to measure. Or choose from my collection of bags made from reclaimed kilts and tweeds.

Right in the heart of Blairgowrie where the High Street meets Allan Street is Alba Bella Gallery. Alba Bella Gallery and Gift shop sells local Artist’s work, high quality Arts, Crafts and giftware either made in Scotland, the U.K. or from sustainable/fair trade sources abroad.   Alba Bella is not just a gallery though, it is a place of creativity. It is an artist led gallery, workshop and teaching venue where skills are shared and taught.   Clodagh and Tracy run workshops and classes in pottery, sculpture, screen printing and mixed media. Clodagh is a retired art and design teacher and Tracy a potter and a holistic therapist.   Clodagh exhibits her own work in sculpture and mixed media along with other hand made objects such as pottery, jewellery and screen prints made in the gallery workshop. At various times there are demonstrations taking place, along with mini workshops in ceramics and screen printing at various times of the day.   Please see the website / Facebook for further details.

We are 2 artists who are passionate about Nature and the Alchemy of our crafts: photography and ceramics. The ceramics are ‘organic’, created intuitively, hoping to reflect aspects of Nature’s incredible energies, the flows and processes, the continuous change, the patterns created by water and wind, the forming and transforming of the earth in mountains, landscapes, rocks, and the growth patterns and forms of trees and plants. Playing with the unpredictable interactions of earth, air, water and fire, experimenting with a variety of clays, minerals and firing techniques, there is always the likelihood of surprise, of the unexpected. Each piece of work is unique, unrepeatable, and offers something that challenges expectations, something new or unusual to look at, respond to, touch. The photographs are inspired by Nature and endeavour to express a life long connection to it and hope to offer the viewer something new to discover and enjoy! Transient weather, amazing trees, floral beauties, down to tiny wee studies of individual lichen and moss. High Quality darkroom photographs, coasters, notebooks, cards and new 2025 calendar.
