My paintings are based on drawings and watercolour sketches I do whilst exploring out and about with my sketchbooks; walking and cycling in Perthshire and further afield in Scotland and when sailing my shared small boat on the Forth and Tay estuaries. I find the colours and forms of the Scottish landscape, the changing weather and light an endless source of inspiration.
