Hello! I’m Ceri White and I run my ceramics practice from my studio in Perth Creative Exchange. For the first time since the start of POS I sadly won’t be able to open my studios during the Open Studios Festival, but I am happy to welcome visitors by appointment at any time.
All is not lost, however as I AM exhibiting some work at the Perthshire Open Studios Summer Show at the Perth Civic Hall – 27 June – 12 July – and will also have a small selection of pots to view and buy at the Showcase Exhibition at the Bield Barn Gallery, Blackruthven: 29 August – 13 September.
As ever, it’s a packed year, and other places you can find me are as follows:
ArTay, Horscross Plaza, Perth – 21-24 May
Spring Market & Open Studios at Perth Creative Exchange 23-24 May (I’ll be demo-ing here!)
Potfest Scotland, Scone Palace – 12-14 June
Creative Collective at St Pauls, Perth: A group exhibition – 20 June – 14 August
Paws & Pots with artist, Susan Hutchison – McGilp’s pop up shop, Kempock Street, Gourock – 14-19 July
Perthshire Artisans Summer Exhibition: ASSEMBLE26 – 18 July – 2 August
Pittenweem Arts Festival, East Neuk of Fife – 1-8 August
Winter Market & Open Studios at Perth Creative Exchange 5-6 December
My work is wheel-thrown earthenware, largely inspired by a 1970s childhood, early doodles and microscopic life. I use entirely traditional techniques to achieve a contemporary and quite unique result, hoping to inspire a little joy around the home.
