My designs draw directly from artifacts and ancient cultures and I’m often found taking knitting with me to archaeology sites. Every pattern I create draws on millennia of human creativity and reinterprets that for modern knitters. My patterns offer a wearable connection to history.

My designs draw directly from artifacts and ancient cultures and I’m often found taking my knitting with me to archaeology sites, sitting by ancient stones or in the shadow of castles. Inspiration is everywhere, from the cord impressions on Beaker pottery to the geometric carvings in Neolithic tombs and the towering Pictish standing stones across the North East of Scotland. Every pattern I create draws on millennia of human creativity and reinterprets that for modern knitters.
My patterns offer a wearable connection to history – a timeless piece that shows your love for the past and hopefully inspires you with the world of archaeology. Sustainability is key to my work, I focus on using Scottish wool, supporting local industry and dyers and encourage you to do the same!
