In recent years Su Grierson has made major changes in her life and art. She works experimentally with painting and ceramics with a particular interest in texture and materiality .
Based in Crieff, Perthshire, Su Grierson works primarily with painting and ceramics. Her practice is concerned with texture and materiality, particularly the ways in which these qualities are generated through the act of making.
Graduating First Class as a mature fine art student from Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee followed by an MA Fine Art at Glasgow. She has spent over 30 years creating installations and projects internationally with video, sound and digital images but has returned to a studio based practice in the last 5 years due to life circumstances and a desire to engage with hands-on materials. A selection of her current work will be on display in her studio and she is always happy to talk about the twists and turns an artist takes in the devlopment of a long practice. A wide range of her work can be accessed from https://linktr.ee/sugrierson
