Trevor Harrison studied studio ceramics at Harrogate College of Art in the late 1980’s. After leaving Harrogate work as an engineer took Trevor and the family to various places around the world. A potters wheel was always part to the luggage and there was always a corner to make some pots.
Trevor’s final year project at Harrogate took inspiration from Medieval Animal Art and a drawing of a wee owl in the corner of a manuscript provided the idea for Listening Owl Ceramics. The interest in medieval animals persists with largely stoneware work ranging from large thrown gargoyles to small hand built owls.
Come along to see some creatures inspired by the medieval zoo.
My wife May of Listening Owl Glass will also have her fused glass creations on view in our garden studios.
Our daughter Emma of Bog Born Crafts at Coupar Angus is also showing her beautifully decorated earthenware domestic ware, one not to be missed.
