Lynne is an Ex Army Nurse who completed an Engineering course in metal art. She lives in the Trossachs and that inspires her love of wildlife and the environment to create sculptures of birds and animals in a whimsical way, in copper and with recycled garden tools. She also uses fused glass to enhance her love of colour. This year she hopes to use recycled whisky barrels and drift wood to make quirky art. Lynne has previously made a number of public artworks ie the Bliss Trail, Edinburgh Cow Parade and her work featured in TVs Beachgrove Gardens Show Garden and Community Gardens. She is a community based artist and is involved in local Art Festivals and the Greening of Callander, she is also a director of the shop Creative in Callander and is committed to Community Arts. Jammythings

Creating unique and small batch pieces or pottery, sculpture and paintings in my garden studio. Inspired by nature; from the beautiful Perthshire landscapes and visits to the Outer Hebrides. Open by arrangement and always happy to chat about what I do although sometimes it is unsuitable to have visitors if I am mixing glazes or the kiln is firing. So please get in touch if you would like to visit the studio to see my pottery and artwork. You may want to just blether, make a purchase, ask about a bespoke piece or find out about tuition. Kinkell Studio

I am a Fine Art Printmaker specialising in soft ground etchings, creating affordable limited-edition prints inspired by my love of Scotlands Wildlife and Tribal Art. I work in the traditional method with zinc plates and nitric acid: coating the plates with wax then drawing and creating impressions of leaves, feathers, lace etc into the wax surface. The plates are then immersed in a bath of acid and where the wax is removed the acid bites grooves into the metal plate. These lines hold the ink creating the print when the plate is run through the etching press with damp paper on top. It’s a challenging but exciting method of printmaking that results in very intricate, detailed prints. As these are hand printed there can be a variation in tone and colour over the edition. I exhibit my work at the Goldfinch Gallery in Comrie and open my studio during Perthshire Open Studios. Twice I’ve been awarded a prize at the Teeside Print Prize exhibition and in 2022 my print ‘The Pond’ was exhibited online at the 196th RSA Annual Exhibition and ‘Helen’ was online for the Scottish Portrait Awards. In 2023 ‘The Garden’ was selected and hung at the 197th RSA Annual Exhibition in Edinburgh. This is a working studio so I’m very happy to show my working process and answer any questions. Everyone is very welcome. Directions. Gould Cottage is on the main street just before the shops start. Follow the signs down the alleyway to my print studio in the garden.

Studio 52 is the bricks and mortar home of Louise McLaren and her papercut artworks. Louise creates intricate, delicate paper cuts from single sheets of paper. Each papercut starts off as a ink line drawing, before being cut out, by hand, with a scalpel, lots of sharp blades and a bit of patience! Many of the finished pieces have words in them which capture the threads and stories of lives well lived. Louise has also started a series of papercut landscapes, capturing some of the beautiful Perthshire scenery that she has on her doorstep. Visit Studio 52 to see her sketchbooks and works in progress, as well as finished pieces, prints, cards and more! Louise has put together some beginners paper cutting kits that are available to purchase and include everything you need to try paper cutting.
