Come visit me at Victoria Bloom Design Florist, 11 West High Street, Crieff. Just down the hill a little from the square. I’m surrounded by the most gorgeous fresh flowers, an ideal setting to inspire my painting and drawing. I paint using mainly watercolour pencil to create my interpretation of vibrant blooms from the florist and my garden.

I love to meet new customers and chat about my processes and inspiration. It will also give you a chance to see my new work first hand and experience the atmosphere in the studio.

Urquhart Glass

Jane Drysdale creates hand crafted kiln formed glass in her garden studio on the outskirts of Crieff. Her studio and conservatory gallery are open by appointment during the year, just give her a ring. However, during the festival she will open up her work space to share some of the secrets of the processes involved and you may get the chance to make something small yourself.

Studio 52 is the bricks and mortar home of Louise McLaren and her papercut artworks. Louise creates intricate, delicate paper cuts from single sheets of paper. Each papercut starts off as a ink line drawing, before being cut out, by hand, with a scalpel, lots of sharp blades and a bit of patience! Many of the finished pieces have words in them which capture the threads and stories of lives well lived. Louise has also started a series of papercut landscapes, capturing some of the beautiful Perthshire scenery that she has on her doorstep. Visit Studio 52 to see her sketchbooks and works in progress, as well as finished pieces, prints, cards and more! Louise has put together some beginners paper cutting kits that are available to purchase and include everything you need to try paper cutting.

Strathearn Arts

I am a textile artist who draws with her sewing machine, happy to give demonstrations to all visitors. I have also been completing a daily oil painting challenge so a lot of my original sketches are now in oils on canvas board.

Jammythings

Perthshire Lochs – an exhibition of landscape paintings I have worked with landscape for the past 20 years, in Australia and Scotland, focusing on a return to the medium of oil painting over the past decade. Having been based in Perthshire for the last few years, my current work is informed by the local landscape, particularly the many varied and beautiful lochs. Work for sale – original paintings and limited edition prints.
