Come and visit my burnside studio set in a beautiful garden in Dalguise. I paint atmospheric landscapes with an emphasis on light and pattern. Figures, wild swimmers, animals and birds sometimes make an appearance. My landscape paintings are mostly acrylic, sometimes involving collage and other mixed media techniques. I work in layers of paint: some translucent some thicker and more opaque, and these are often wiped back or dissolved to reveal details and patterns beneath. I also work in textiles. There will be a selection of small gift items: jewellery, handmade notebooks and sketchbooks and bags. Teas available in the conservatory.

The Kiln Creative pottery makes simple functional wares made for everyday enjoyment. All my pottery is handmade, thrown on the potters wheel and fired to stoneware in my kiln. I enjoy making pottery using traditional techniques with a modern design; I hope my pieces add a bit of calm to the users busy day. I have my wheel in my studio looking out into beautiful countryside and the kettle will be on; please come by and say hello!
