Hello! I’m Cal aka HooperHart and I create wooden art, wearables and accessories for the home with a contemporary Folk Art flavour. I specialise in illustrative, immersive miniature scenes in the form of boxed and framed dioramas – all inspired by wildlife, storytelling, analogue animation, and the Scottish coast and countryside. You can find me tucked away down a picturesque single track road between the A9 and Dunning, surrounded by fields and farmland. When you see a wooden outhouse festooned with bunting, you’ll know you’re in the right place!

I work mainly in watercolour and also enjoy printing, collage and acrylic. I am inspired by the seasons and plants and these often feature in my still life paintings, landscapes and abstract art which can be viewed at my studio where I run classes in drawing and painting. Directions : Dundee Rd, Isle of Sky Hotel, turn left, Manse Rd, right into Hatton View, third turning on left.

I’m excited to be opening my home studio in Abernethy for the first time. I’m a willow weaver who hand weaves willow baskets, sculptures, bird houses and bird feeders. I love experimenting with different colours of willow and a range of weaves to add texture and interest to my designs. I’m a firm believer that the functional should be beautiful too. At my studio, you’ll be able to see the tools of the trade, and learn more about the sustainability of willow and its preparation for weaving. I’ll be demonstrating willow basketry and sculpting techniques too, so pop by to chat about all things willow. While you’re here, you can take the chance to look around the beautiful village of Abernethy and its surrounding countryside which inspires my designs.

Ritzy Glass

I’m a Kinross mixed media artist and express my creativity on a variety of mediums and surfaces such as glass, wood, clay, canvas and paper. As well as painting and drawing I also hand burn on wood. My little summerhouse studio is situated in my lovely tranquil garden near Loch Leven. I love animals and nature and often use local flora and fauna as inspirations for my designs. I will have a wide selection of glassware, hand burned wooden boards, ceramics, gifts, cards, prints and original artwork on display in my summerhouse studio and garden gazebo. I’m looking forward to welcoming visitors and love a wee chat about my artwork.

Carol Barbour Art

I make bags, baskets and jewellery using recycled materials. My medium is mainly crochet though I love all sorts of crafts. I love making art using driftwood and other things collected on the beach. If I can combine the two all the better 😊 The Tickled Trout cafe is based at College Mill Trout Farm in Almondbank just outside Perth. I will be based there Wednesday 6th to Sunday the 10th September from 10-5.

Bramble & Rose

I love photographing wildlife, and I sell prints, cards, coasters and other items featuring my images. You’ll find lots of our beautiful Scottish red squirrels, amongst other Scottish creatures, as well as some images of Kenyan and North American wildlife. I’m exhibiting with 5 other talented makers, so there will be a great variety of things to see and buy at the lovely Tickled Trout cafe in Almondbank.

I am a painter and printmaker who specialises in large oil and acrylic paintings of Scottish landscapes. I produce smaller watercolour paintings and drawings. I am inspired by the beautiful beaches in the Outer Hebrides and the familiar landscapes and wildlife in Fife. My current body of work ranges from large framed oil paintings to small water colours and tonal ink wash and pencil drawings.

Come visit me at Victoria Bloom Design Florist, 11 West High Street, Crieff. Just down the hill a little from the square. I’m surrounded by the most gorgeous fresh flowers, an ideal setting to inspire my painting and drawing. I paint using mainly watercolour pencil to create my interpretation of vibrant blooms from the florist and my garden.
