Profile
Blissful days spent in my garden studio, literally pottering and smiling. I work mostly with clay; creating small batch functional pots to be used everyday and unique decorative pieces of wall art and sculpture, to inspire and settle the mind.
My inspiration comes from our beautiful Scottish landscapes and the wonders of nature, this could be a bee visiting a flower in the garden, to the rolling Perthshire hills and further afield to the white sands and crystal clear waters of the Outer Hebrides.
I also paint and have a variety of paintings and prints inspired by our local wildlife; hares are my favourite. Then there are a few mixed media pieces combining ceramics and wood. The wood is up-cycled and reclaimed, with lots of interesting pieces found along the river.
I am so very lucky to do what I do, I believe art should emote a positive emotion and be enjoyed at every opportunity. So please come along and see what I get up to in my wee garden Studio and have a look around and a blether.
Open by arrangement and always happy to chat about what I do although sometimes it is unsuitable to have visitors, if I am mixing glazes or the kiln is firing. So please get in touch if you would like to visit the studio to see my pottery and artwork.
