Kerstin’s work has been described as having a very natural rustic finish with a sense of comfort and nostalgia. Her work is deeply influenced by instinct and emotion. Drawing on the natural beauty that surrounds her in her everyday life, she tries to create pieces of work that reflect the innate love and adoration she has for the natural world. She constantly applies pattern and colour to her work, searching for inspiration from the flora and fauna of Eastern Perthshire where she lives and works. Although Kerstin tends to relate her work to the natural world, she also receptive to whatever else catches her eye on her adventures, both at home and further afield.
