Helen and her partner use both Murano and recycled bottle glass (especially Whisky bottles!) to create glass beads and pieces of jewellery in their home workshop in Pitlochry. Helen specialises in the use of hot glass and other materials created in an oxygen/propane mix flame, known as lampworking.
Helen creates lampworked glass jewellery from Murano glass and recycled Whisky bottles.
Using Murano glass and old (empty!) whisky bottles we create beautiful ready to wear jewellery in a rainbow of colours.
Helen started lampworking during her final year at Duncan of Jordanstone where she earned a degree in Jewellery and Metal Design. She started making commissions and working with galleries soon after and now with her partner on board they create jewellery for retailers across Europe and North America from their wee Pitlochry studio.
We’d love you to visit and see us upcycling bottles into wearable pieces and we will be demoing every day we are open with a variety of jewellery on display to browse.
If you happen to have an empty whisky bottle to bring us please do!
