My pottery reflects the ordered, methodical side of my character with carved geometric patterns and straight lines and yet the disordered part of me always creeps in with the need to offset things or add a quirk. I love texture and all things tactile, so I like to create pottery that hopefully makes you want to pick it up. My colour palette is simple and reflects the colours I see around me in my little Perthshire glen – blues, greens and browns with the odd splash of colour.
