Profile
I paint atmospheric landscapes that bring a sense of wonder and serenity into your home. They invite you to slow down and exhale.
For me being in the landscape is synonym of freedom. The beauty of the ever-changing light, the spirit of a place and awe of the natural world are constant inspiration. I start by sketching outside and distil my feelings and memories of a place with mixed media and acrylic paint when I get back to the studio.
You can browse my collection of paintings and greetings cards for sale, and peek into my sketchbooks.
I am exhibiting at Camserney Hall nr Aberfeldy with:
Libby Scott is a Mixed Media Artist whose vibrant abstract landscapes are full of energy and drama.
Louise MacDonald works in oil paints to create a strong atmosphere and rich texture in her work.
We are three North Highland Perthshire artists who frequently work in collaboration, meeting up for sketching sessions (as well as coffee, cake and chat) in and around Perthshire which, inspire our work.
Our connection is our fascination for the rural landscape, we each express the drama and mood of the Perthshire land and skies in our own unique way.
