POS Festival Showcase exhibition

Over 70 of the Festival artists will have their work on show at The Bield, Blackruthven, by Perth, from 2nd-11th September. A perfect opportunity to help you decide which studios to visit. [Google Maps]

Welcome to the 2023 Open Studios Festival! We are back and celebrating our Perthshire makers in all their glory. This year there are over 120 different artists taking part from all corners of Perthshire.

Don’t forget the Festival Showcase at The Bield – very close to Perth. Here you can see who is doing what and then follow up with a visit further afield. It’s open from 2nd to 11th of September.

After consulting Perthshire artists there have been some changes.

  • The website is now searchable by name, type of art and location. You can favorite the people you want to see and print out your list.
  • We have moved away from the idea of routes to dividing Perthshire into six areas. We hope this will encourage people to see art that they would not necessarily see if they were following a specific route.
  • If you miss the Festival, then we now have an all-year-round Perthshire Creative Trail with a searchable website with artists and galleries places to visit.
  • The Festival will be an annual event from Wednesday to Monday over the second Weekend in September.

It’s been a difficult few years, but our artists are ready and waiting to meet you!

Step 3 :

Start your journey

The listings have links to What3Words to get directions via Google Maps and others.
Some venues are only open on certain days so do check the listings for opening hours.

Zoom the map in and out using the +/- buttons, or click on the numbered groups to see them separately. Click and drag to move the map, or drag with two fingers.

Filter the map by creative activity by unchecking Categories in the bottom-right corner to hide those places. Enter a name in the search box  and press 'Enter' to find a particular artist or inspiration.

Hover over an icon to see the name, click on the icon for a popup summary, and click on the image or 'more info' button in the popup for a detailed page with full opening hours, etc.

If you are using a mobile device (phone / tablet) to access the website, remember to press 'Enter' on the on-screen keyboard to search (or 'Return / Search / Go'). In order to see the pins on the map behind the search box, expand the map by tapping the icon or use the down arrow at the top-right of the search box to shrink it.

Why not download a digital copy of our brochure?

The pdf version is a great download to have while out and about in Perthshire where the mobile phone signal may not always be great.

You can also pick up a printed version from our creatives themselves, at the Creative Exchange in Perth, or from tourist information offices.

If you have taken part in the Festival in any way, then please leave us some feedback.

Every bit of information is helpful to make the Festival even better in the future!
