Liz is an artist and art tutor, creates intriguing watercolour paintings, sometimes adding snippets of Japanese paper onto the painting surface.
Using everyday materials and exciting techniques Liz often creates paintings without using a paintbrush! She’ll be working away in the studio daily and looks forward to sharing her award winning techniques, answering your questions and curiosity. You’ll be welcome to join in, should you wish.
Painting subjects vary from loose lively flowers, painted outdoors, to detailed life studies, landscape, architecture and conceptual artwork. Exploring a wide variety of watercolour techniques.
A recent holiday to Turkiye has inspired a refreshing set of recycled gems, as mixed media pieces. A development from her earlier tag idea.
Sketchbooks will be on hand to flick through, variety of hand finished frames, paintings range from 20cm to 170cm in outer dimension, unframed works and small items, some prints, and cards available.
There’ll also be a fabulous display of work from students who have been attending Liz’s ‘ Watercolour all Ways ‘ class this year.
Following last years popularity, there will be be the opportunity to try a kimono & get creative, should you wish. Try your hand at painting techniques or sooth yourself with some step by step origami.
There is always time for a chat, a cuppa and/or a stroll round the garden.
A selection of paintings are on ground level although most are upstairs.
