Decorative and useful earthenware ceramics, hand built using a range of techniques including coiling, slabs, sculpture and moulding. I often use natural materials such as leaves, flowers and grasses for imprinting designs when decorating the wares. An electric kiln is used for all firings.

My love of ceramics started in school when an inspirational teacher encouraged me to explore the wonderful world of ceramics. Then living near Stoke on Trent, there were plenty of class visits to the pot banks for a grounding in clay production and ceramic manufacturing. Back in the classroom, there was a focus on natural form and using the plasticity and endless potential of clay to produce both useful and beautiful creations. I have only recently returned to making. My “studio” is the potting shed at the bottom of my garden, with room for my 2 dogs to sleep at my feet. I love experimenting with designs and hand building techniques to produce a range of wares for around the home and garden.
