We are back!

“The Perthshire Open Studios Festival is back! It’s been a difficult few years, but our artists are ready and waiting to meet visitors. With 120 artists involved from the 6th to 11th September, we are celebrating Perthshire’s makers in all their glory” announced Heather Budge-Reid, Chair of POS.

“After consulting Perthshire artists there have been some changes. We have moved away from the idea of ‘routes’ and towards dividing Perthshire into six areas. We hope this will encourage people to see art that they would not necessarily see if they were following a specific route. By visiting the POS website, you can now search by name, type of art and location. You can even favorite the people you want to see and print out your list,” she further explained.

Parts of Perthshire have poor connectivity, so POS has produced a brochure (in print and download versions) and a website to help visitors make their choice of where to go. Visitors can also visit the Festival Showcase exhibition being held at The Barn Gallery from the 2nd-11th of September, where participating artists will be showing their work.

“If you miss the Festival, then we now have an all-year-round Perthshire Creative Trail with artists, galleries and places to visit, all with searchable listings available on our website,” concluded Heather.
